Course Overview

Are you looking for a varied and rewarding career in construction? Have you thought about becoming a Plumber or Heating Engineer? Are you hard-working, organised and self-motivated? If this sounds like you then our Diploma in Plumbing & Heating could be your ideal course.

From repairs and maintenance, fitting bathrooms to installing heating systems, this is a highly skilled and varied field. With our Diploma in Plumbing & Heating Level 2, you will learn all about maintenance, repair and installation, and gain the skills and knowledge you need to move on to a higher-level course. There’s more to it than fixing a dripping tap!

Our course balances theory with some great hands-on experience. You will learn about the installation of domestic heating and rainwater systems, bathroom suites, immersion heaters, hot water cylinders and cold-water cisterns. You will also learn how to install and maintain a variety of taps, radiator valves and central heating controls. By the end of the course, you will understand a range of fault-finding and repair techniques and be aware of safe working practices in the building studies environment.

We have a relatively new workshop and classrooms here at the Duckworth Centre. Our previous success rates are high, and we feel that the course offers everything that you need to be able to progress into a new career.
