Our Access to Higher Education (HE) courses are designed for a returning learner in mind. Whether you are 19 or 55, with abilities of any level, our Access to HE courses provide you with the academic knowledge and skills to succeed and thrive in a Higher Education environment.
There are no formal entry requirements however, you may be asked to complete an online test to assess your suitability for the course.

Lower tuition costs
- While a foundation year at university can cost from £6,000-£12,000, Access to HE courses typically cost between £3,000-£3,500.
- If you’re aged 19-23 and this is your first level 3 qualification, you may be eligible to study for free.
- If it’s not your first Level 3 course, you can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan. The loan is written off if you later complete a higher education degree funded by Student Finance England.
