Hearing what students have to say is at the heart of our college and that is achieved with the help of the Student Ambassadors.

The Student Experience team lead Student Ambassadors to ensure everyone has a say on decisions made throughout the college. Ambassadors can join various focus groups to feedback their ideas and help enhance the student experience, and they can assist in events held for their fellow students and get involved in developing a range of skills.

Alongside helping at intercampus events, Student Ambassadors have the opportunity to support the college during their open days to share their experiences with prospective students, and answer any questions they may have. Becoming a student ambassadors is a great way to not only develop a wider range of skills, but allows students the chance to gain valuable experience to use in their UCAS or job applications.

Students have shared below what they enjoyed the most out of the experience: "The chance to connect with other students and use our collective strength and vision to make the college the best possible place it can be." "Working with college staff, giving creative ideas, making the college a safer space for students." "Having meetings with all the rest of the Ambassadors, getting to know each other and what it is like hearing everyone else’s opinions on what they think we should do."

Our Student Experience Team can be found in the HoWRU Hubs in Bromsgrove, Redditch and Worcester.

You can email [email protected] with any questions or ideas relating to the student experience at College.

Meet our Student Ambassadors:

"Hi! My name is Oliver and I am proud to be a Student Ambassador at HoW College. As part of my role, I participate in activities intended to consider viewpoints of students, whether positive or critical, and relay them onto the college to be discussed, as well as my own ideas as a Student Ambassador. This also includes attending meetings and conferences and being a spokesperson for the students. What I enjoy most about being a student ambassador is the feeling of value and community - I truly feel woven into the fabric of the college and I can trust in the fact my words, my views and feelings are appreciated."

"Hi my name is Angel and I am a Student Ambassador at HoW College. As part of my role, I help the Student Experience team, such as doing workshops, training and improving the college. I enjoy having meetings with all the rest of the Ambassadors, getting to know each other and what it is like hearing everyone else’s opinions on what they think we should do!"
