Course Information

Candidates should ideally have 4-9 in English & Mathematics; they will also need to complete a full application form which will involves an English and Mathematics initial assessment and personal interview. 

You will be assessed with Synoptic (AM2S) End-Point Assessment with Practical tasks, Theory MCQ, Knowledge Unit assessments, Online tests, Written papers, and projects or assignments.

Alongside Practical Unit Assessments to observe you practical performance in a training environment. Throughout your apprenticeship you will build a portfolio of evidence of the units completed and verifiable with workplace evidence records, logbooks, and more.

If candidates have previous relevant qualifications these can be used to gain exemptions from certain units.

Completion of the apprenticeship allows you to join a Competent Persons Scheme and apply for an ECS Gold Card.

Learners can progress into higher education and complete an electrical engineering degree.

Modular courses such as Inspection & Testing and wiring regs courses are available to compliment your CPD, along with the L4 Award in the Design and Verification of Electrical Installations.
