Course Overview
This year long programme provides an exciting and varied exploration of the Performing Arts, working in the disciplines of drama, song and dance. Learners will be encouraged to experiment with their creativity in areas such as script writing and devising, expand their technique and knowledge of many styles of dance and explore their vocal technique and repertoire.
Within the course you will have access to an industry standard and professional rehearsal and performance space, Spires Theatre. At the start of the course there is a studio fee which all students are expected to pay, and this will be discussed on application and interview. This will cover at least one curriculum linked trip within the academic year, and also the provision of necessary equipment.

4 GCSE's at Grade 3 - including Maths and English.
Level 2 Performing and Production Arts is comprised of eight formative units and one Final Major Project. In year assessment takes place via practical tasks, public performance and by completing a reflective journal. Practical Assessments include: Two Musical Theatre Showcases, recorded Radio Play, Variety Performance and scripted play performance.
Student progression primarily is centered on progression to a Level 3 course, which could be within Performing Arts however could be further afield.
