Course Overview

The EAL Level 2 Diploma in Engineering Technologies is a Vocational Related Qualification (VRQ). It has been specifically designed for learners 16-18 and 19+ learners in full-time education who are interested in pursuing a career in the engineering and manufacturing sector, including occupations and job roles such as mechanical engineer, maintenance engineer, fabricator and technical support.

Learners will need workshop suitable clothing, safety footwear, scientific calculator, pens, pencils, paper and a lever arch folder.

Course Information

4 GCSE’s grade 3 and above (A*-D), to include English and Maths.

Mandatory units are assessed by an online exam. Optional units are assessed by marking course work and practical tasks. 

You can progress to a City and Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Engineering or a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering.

Bromsgrove

Bromsgrove has many links to local towns and cities from Birmingham, Redditch, Droitwich, Rubery, Halesowen and Worcester all accessible by bus. The train station is further out of town with links to more towns and Bromsgrove campus can be accessed from the train station with a bus journey or by walking.
