Course Overview
The City & Guilds level 1 Diploma in Electrical Installation is an entry‑level qualification designed for learners who are new to the electrical industry and looking to develop the core practical skills and underpinning knowledge required to progress toward becoming an electrician.
For this course students will need Electricians VDE hand tools (screwdrivers, pliers, side cutters, tape measure, boat spirit level, stubby hammer), safety boots, work trousers, College polo shirt and scientific calculator.

You require 4 GCSE’s at grade 2 including maths and English at grade 3 or above.
Assessment methods typically include practical assessments, assignments and multiple‑choice examinations, with continuous assessment throughout the course and an end‑of‑course portfolio.
Upon successful completion, learners can progress to Level 2 Electrical Installation qualifications or an electrical apprenticeship, beginning the journey toward becoming a qualified electrician.
