Course Overview

This entry‑level qualification is an engaging and motivating introduction to the automotive industry, aimed primarily at learners aged 16–19 with an interest in vehicle maintenance and repair. Learners develop practical skills and foundational knowledge in a hands‑on workshop environment that prepares them for further study or progression into related automotive pathways.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as work trousers/top, safety boots, and gloves and classroom basics (pens, paper, folder) are needed for this course.

Learners should have a basic level of English and Maths and have previously sat GCSE exams. Individual requirements can be discussed at interview.

Bromsgrove has many links to local towns and cities from Birmingham, Redditch, Droitwich, Rubery, Halesowen and Worcester all accessible by bus. The train station is further out of town with links to more towns and Bromsgrove campus can be accessed from the train station with a bus journey or by walking.
